Get the Glow Down: Laura Mercier

I need a whole new vocab for what I feel about this product.

Laura Mercier…I love you. You improve my life and my face before I’ve even attempted to improve them myself. ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

I first heard about this product at the end of 2015 and as soon as I got wind of it…I just had to have it. And I haven’t looked back since. Yes I’ve bought other primers since I purchased this one because I have no self control but I always return to this beauty cult classic.
This is a repurchase and I have no qualms in ever paying for this with my good hard earned money because I truly believe it’s worth the price and lives up to the hype. For ยฃ29 you get a 50ml tube and with regular daily use with pea sized amounts of product every time, it has took me around 4/5 months to come to the end of it. And have I stated that its absolutely amazing? I always start my makeup routine off with a primer, and I’ve been through thick and thin with them. I’ve tried everything – MAC’s strobe cream, Charlotte Tilbury’s Wonder Glow, the lot. I believe a good primer is worth the money. So I don’t mind the price tag. I really don’t. It’s life. (I feel like I say this a lot!)

For quite some time now, I’ve tended to reach more for illuminating primers as opposed to just ‘normal’ mattifying ones and even though you perhaps don’t feel as ‘protected’ (by this I mean with other primers I’ve tried such as the Benefit Porefessional, I’ve felt as though my skin had a very thin veil over it which covered my pores), the great thing about this product is that its a lightweight water based gel which gives the skin a very sheer natural and healthy looking glow. Which is what I live for. The fact that the primer is a water based gel helps to give the skin a soft focus finish which mimimises the look of any imperfections you may have. So literally, the light reflecting pearl pigment in it bounces off your skin and blinds everyone into thinking you have the skin of a supermodel. WIN.
It’s a beige/orange iridescent flow of loveliness and gives you an instant sheen. One thing I would say about this product is that it can be quite fast drying when you apply it. I use my fingers so the product can warm up in my hands and be smoothed on that way but none the less it leaves you sparkling and it’s nothing too heavy!

I could wear it without makeup – if I was brave enough. You can dab it on the highest point of your cheekbones after makeup. The worlds your oyster. Anything else you apply over this primer stays on your face for the whole day, with a glow that literally looks like it’s from within. It’s suitable for all skin types and doesn’t cause havoc for sensitive skin. Because I’ve got it! And my skins never been better.

I can sing its praises all day and I will, to whoever I meet. I’m sure I already have told most people who talk to me about makeup! Try it for yourself. At any high end concession store eg John Lewis or Harvery Nics. You won’t regret it. And then please. Show me, tell me how it changed your life too. We can love it together ๐Ÿ’“
