It’s been a while. Believe it or not, I haven’t actually been trying that many new products recently – and if I have, I still have a long way to go to see whether they are actually worth the purchase! (For example, a blog post on the highly anticipated Alex Steinherr skincare collection for Primark will be coming soon!)
So here’s a mini post of a few things I’ve been loving recently.
L’Oreal Fine Flowers Gel Cream Wash
I’ve actually had this product for quite a long time and I think I have mentioned it in the past as something I’ve been loving. But I haven’t used it in ages because I nailed a skincare routine and stuck to it. However, even with using a micellar water, and a toner and a serum and a moisturiser, I never actually had a step where I wash my face with water. (That sounds weird.) I’ve used exfoliators yes, but I always thought, why would I need to add another step. Well. The past month I feel as though my skins transformed. Yes, I still suffer with eczema on my face (on my eyelids) but since using this face wash, my skin has just felt so fresh and soft morning and night. Why haven’t I been doing this longer? I got mine from Boots many moons ago and I believe it’s currently on offer there for £1.99. Get it here
Solait Mousse: Express Dark Tan
So, I used to love the Bondi Sands tan, until I found this bad boy in Superdrug. It’s Superdrug’s own tanning line and it’s honestly, hands down, one of the best tans I’ve ever used in my life. It’s £4.99. It’s crazy. The Express Dark Tan says it can be washed off within the hour to reveal a glowing tan. And it really does. It smells like coconuts which I LOVE and it does actually lasts for days (given that you moisturise). Especially for someone who deals with eczema and some tans can set it off like crazy, the vitamin E in this tan just makes my skin look hydrated and smooth. Get it here
Superdrug Coconut Water & Coconut Oil Hair Masque
I genuinely believe this is my secret weapon. And I’m not one to ever be dramatic (honest..) Every time I wash my hair and use this masque, I get asked if I’ve had my hair coloured. SIDE NOTE: for anyone who doesn’t follow me on my socials, I have balayage in my hair but lazy me hasn’t had it done since March 2017. So when people comment me on my shiny blonde hair, I love it. Because it’s all down to this. And very recently I’ve just purchased the rest of the family in the form of the shampoo and conditioner so I’ve very excited to have a little coconut shampoo fest. It’s £3.99 but 9 times out of 10 they have a ‘2 for £5 offer’ and that’s when I stock up. Get it here
Charlotte Tilbury Superstar Lips – Pillow Talk
So. I think it’s common knowledge on my blog that I have a thing for the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in the shade Pillow Talk. So when I received the new Superstar Lips lipstick from my best friend for my 25th birthday, I was so excited to try it. It’s a brand new product and an amazing hybrid of a lip gloss and a lipstick. It literally glides on so soft, it feels so hydrating and nourishing on my lips and leaves the most gorgeous colour and sheen ever. For day time, it’s amazing as it can be so subtle but you can build on it for a more fuller colour for the evening. I’ve used it every day for nearly 2 weeks…when you know, you know. 10/10. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb
Couldn’t resist a boujee lip gloss like this one now could I. This is my first delve into the beauty realm that is Fenty beauty and I’m impressed. This is such a universally flattering gloss and I love how shiny and smooth it is. It doesn’t feel outrageously sticky and I love how big the applicator is – I can feel so much product going on my lips at one time and it’s just amazing. Alex bought me this as a birthday treat in the Sephora in Barcelona and I’ve been wearing it with my Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk and it’s a winning combination. Get it here
Tortoise Style Earrings
Bit of a fashion one for you here girls and guys. I’ve been obsessed with buying statement tortoise patterned earrings. For me, they go with everything in my wardrobe – as it mainly consists of blacks, burgundy’s and greens. I’ve always been a fan of statement earrings, I love a gold hoop as much as the next girl so when I started seeing the introduction of the tortoise pattern, I’ve been buying them at every chance I get. I just need to plan more nights out now…
Hope you’ve liked my favourites. Not that many new ones this month as I’m trying to cut back on my spending and using things up that I’ve got stashed in the makeup and skincare archives.
